Crossroads Home Educated Children (CHEC) is a home school
support co-op that provides educational, extracurricular and social group
activities for home-schooled students.
We do NOT provide legal advice or advice on how to withdraw
your child from school. For answers to
those questions, please visit Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA.org) or Texas Home School Coalition (THSC.org).
We also do NOT provide you with curriculum or “teach” your
child. For information and advice on curriculum, there are several websites that
can help you make those decisions. A few
are: homeschool.com, THSC.org, or
homeschooltopsites.com. You may also wish to refer to our "Curriculum" webpage.
If you would like to know more about our co-op, and how to get
your child involved with other home school students in the Crossroads area,
please feel free to attend one of our activities listed on this website, or
contact one of the officers via email.
We also have a Mentor program for families that have already decided to
home school and would like someone to come alongside them and provide support
and encouragement their first year. If
you are interested in our Mentor program, please send an email to one of the officers listed to the left.
