Science Fair

March 6, 2007

Prizes for 1st and 2nd places will be awarded for each of three categories, K-5, 4-6, and 9-12, unless categories need to be combined.  Every entry will be awarded as well. So, please let me know right away if you are planning on participating.

General Guidelines for the Science Fair:

1. All participants should plan to follow the Scientific Method for their
experiment. If you're not sure what the scientific method is, feel free to
contact me.

2. The work should be done with appropriate supervision, but the work
should be the child's.

3. Avoid experiments that are:

a.  explosive

b.  produce a foul smell

c.  potentially harmful to people or property

4. Choose an experiment that interests the child.

5. Most of All, remember to have fun!

We will provide tables upon which to display your science fair entry.  If
you are wanting to demonstrate your experiment, please let me know.
Please contact Nelda Wilson if you plan on participating.
